On Tuesday, 26 May 2020, the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau approved a fourth extension of the State of Emergency, for a period of 15 days, until 10 June 2020.
On another hand, Government decided to relieve restrictive measures to conciliate prevention with the gradual and progressive recovery of economic activities.
The main measure is the reopening of the air, maritime and land borders. Entrance and Exit are allowed, subject to presentation of a certificate of negative testing of COVID-19.
Transport of basic goods and persons is allowed, subject to the mandatory use of masks, as well as street selling. Restaurants, pastries and bakeries are allowed to work for take-away service.
Essential measures to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19 are maintained, as:
• Confinement throughout the national territory, but mandatory only from 8:00pm till 06:00 am;
• Mandatory wearing of individual masks;
• Passenger transport vehicles are only allowed to carry half the usual capacity and taxis can only carry three customers.
